Description
Bambu Lab A2L 3D Printer
The Bambu Lab A2L is the A-Series grown up: a 330 × 320 × 325 mm open-frame printer with 105% more build volume than the 256mm class, at a price that still sits in beginner territory. It keeps everything that made the A1 easy – full-auto calibration, 500 mm/s speed, 49 dB operation – and adds the hardware a big bed needs: Adaptive Vibration Compensation that re-measures resonance as tall prints climb, two granular dampers built into the gantry, a closed-loop PMSM servo extruder and the quick-release nozzle shared across Bambu's whole lineup. This is the printer-only version – add an AMS Lite or AMS 2 Pro later, or choose the A2L Combo for four-colour printing out of the box.
Key Features
- 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume – full-size helmets, large cosplay props and batch jobs without splitting the model
- Full-auto calibration – bed levelling, Z-offset, vibration and flow dynamics measured by the printer, before and during the print
- Adaptive Vibration Compensation plus two granular dampers for clean surfaces at full height
- PMSM servo extruder with 20,000 checks per second – detects tangles, run-out, grinding and air printing
- 500 mm/s print speed with 10,000 mm/s² acceleration, 1.5mm-pitch belts for fewer surface artefacts
- Quick-release hotend compatible with Bambu's full nozzle range, nozzle clumping detector on the purge flinger
- Works with AMS Lite, AMS and AMS 2 Pro – up to 19 colours with chained units
- Optional blade-cutting and pen-plotting modules turn it into a craft cutter for vinyl, stickers, leather and paper
- 49 dB in silent mode, UL 2904 GREENGUARD certified for indoor air quality with official filaments
- 3.5-inch touchscreen, 1080p camera for monitoring and timelapses, one-click printing from MakerWorld
Who It's For
- Makers who keep hitting the edge of a 256mm bed – helmets, armour, large single-piece props
- Small batch producers who want 40 fidget toys or a tray of parts in one run
- First-time printers who want room to grow without the cost or complexity of an enclosed machine
- Crafters who want one machine for printing, sticker cutting and pen plotting

FAQ
Is the A2L just a bigger A1?
Mostly, and that's the point. Same hands-off calibration and 500 mm/s speed, but with a 330mm bed, a servo extruder, adaptive vibration compensation, granular dampers and native support for the box-style AMS and AMS 2 Pro – no AMS Hub needed.
Can I add multi-colour later?
Yes. The A2L accepts an AMS Lite, AMS or AMS 2 Pro directly, up to four box-style units plus one AMS Lite for 19 colours. Note that the AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT drying functions need their external power supply when used on the A2L.
Can I print ABS or ASA?
Bambu doesn't recommend it – the A2L is open-frame and the bed tops out at 80 °C. For engineering filaments choose an enclosed printer such as the P2S Combo.
Which nozzles fit?
The A2L uses Bambu's quick-release hotend and accepts the same 0.2mm stainless and 0.4/0.6/0.8mm hardened steel options as the rest of the lineup. Use hardened steel for carbon- or glass-fibre filaments.
What are the cutting and pen modules?
Optional add-ons that swap onto the toolhead so the A2L can cut vinyl, stickers, leather and fabric or draw with a pen on the build plate. They're sold separately – ask us about availability.
