1. What temperature should I print PETG Glitter at?
Print at 230–250°C with a heated bed at 70–85°C. Standard PETG settings work well — no special tuning needed for the glitter effect.
2. What nozzle size should I use?
For best results we recommend a 0.4 mm nozzle or larger. The glitter particles can clog 0.2–0.3 mm nozzles, so smaller nozzles are not recommended.
3. Will the glitter wear off over time?
No. The glitter particles are embedded throughout the filament, not coated on the surface. The sparkle effect is permanent and stays visible even if prints are handled or lightly worn.
4. Can I use PETG Glitter for food-contact items?
No. While base PETG can be food-safe under certain conditions, the glitter additives mean PETG Glitter is not recommended for direct food contact. Use a dedicated food-safe filament or coating for those applications.
