What's the difference between Matte PETG HS and standard PETG?

Matte PETG HS is an enhanced, high-speed formulation of PETG with a specially engineered matte finish. Compared to standard PETG, it's optimized for faster print speeds without sacrificing dimensional accuracy, offers superior impact resistance and toughness, and produces a refined, non-reflective surface that hides layer lines and eliminates glare. You get the same chemical resistance and ease of printing PETG is known for, plus a premium aesthetic and significantly reduced print times.

What print settings should I use for Matte PETG HS?

Matte PETG HS is designed to perform reliably across a wide range of printers and settings. As a general guide, we recommend a nozzle temperature of 230–250°C and a bed temperature of 70–80°C. It supports high-speed printing of 200–300mm/s on capable machines, though slower speeds also produce excellent results. A hardened steel or wear-resistant nozzle is recommended, as matte filaments contain additives that can wear standard brass nozzles over time. Always refer to the spool label for the most accurate temperature range for your specific colour.

Does the matte finish affect the strength of the print?

No — Matte PETG HS retains all the mechanical performance of our standard PETG HS formulation, including superior impact resistance, strong layer adhesion, and excellent durability.
