Bambu Lab AMS HT – Automatic Material System with 85°C Filament Drying
The Bambu Lab AMS HT is a single-spool automatic material system built for high-performance filaments. It dries at up to 85 °C with an active air vent – hot enough for nylon, polycarbonate and carbon-fibre blends – stores the spool airtight, and feeds it to the printer with a brushless servo motor and RFID sync. A bypass outlet lets you feed TPU and other filaments the standard AMS can't handle, and it chains with the AMS 2 Pro for up to 24-filament printing. It is compatible with every current Bambu Lab printer.

Compatibility
- A1 / A1 Mini: requires the AMS Hub – A1 Series (SA013).
- P1 / X1 Series: for a single AMS HT you need the PTFE tube coupler (FAZ006), 4-pin cable (CAB002-N) and filament buffer (SA003). For multiple AMS units use the AMS Hub (SA002-N) instead of the buffer.
- P2S: up to 2 AMS units need the P2S filament buffer (SA011) and Bambu Bus cable (CAB035); 3 or more also need the 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter (FAZ013-N).
- X2D / H2S: more than one AMS unit needs the 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter.
- H2D / H2C: more than two AMS units need the 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter.
- AMS HT is temporarily not compatible with the X1E.
FAQ
Can the AMS HT dry filament on its own?
No. It must be connected by Bambu Bus cable to a powered-on printer, and uses its own power cord for the heater.
AMS HT or AMS 2 Pro?
The AMS 2 Pro holds four spools and dries at 65 °C – ideal for PLA, PETG and ABS. The AMS HT holds one spool, dries at 85 °C and has the bypass outlet – choose it for PA, PC, CF and TPU.
Does TPU feed automatically through the bypass?
No. The bypass outlet is a manual feed path with no auto load or retract.
