Bambu Lab AMS Lite – Multi-Colour Printing for the A1 Series
The Bambu Lab AMS Lite adds four-colour and multi-material printing to the A1 and A1 Mini. Its open, spring-loaded rotary spool holders accept almost any spool – including cardboard – and the translucent design makes it easy to see what's loaded and to clear a tangle in seconds. If you bought an A1 or A1 Mini without the Combo, this is the upgrade that turns it into a multi-colour printer.

Compatibility
- A1, A1 Mini and A2L: one AMS Lite per printer (4 colours maximum).
- Not compatible with P1, P2, X1, X2 or H2 Series printers.
- Cannot be used alongside an AMS, AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT on the same A1 Series printer.
FAQ
Can I run two AMS Lites for 8 colours?
No – the A1 Series supports a single AMS Lite. For more than four slots, or for filament drying, use an AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT via the AMS Hub – A1 Series (SA013).
Does it dry filament?
No. The AMS Lite is an open design with no heating or sealed storage. Keep hygroscopic filaments in a dryer between prints.
Will it fit cardboard spools?
Yes – the rotary holders grip the centre hole rather than the spool edges, so paper and cardboard spools work without adapters.
